There’s a lot of hype surrounding the IsaLean shake from Isagenix, probably because its sold through a network of independent Associates.

The IsaLean Shake is not cheap (probably because its sold through a network marketing company) if you purchase as a retail customer its about $3.65 per serving, which is almost as much as Shakeology, the most expensive shake we’ve reviewed.
If you become an Associate you can purchase at a lower price, but you have to pay a membership fee and deal with autoship and the business side of things.

Although the Isagenix IsaLean shake is expensive it does contain a decent amount of nutrition which makes it a complete meal replacement shake.
They promote the quality of their Whey protein which comes from grass fed cows living in New Zealand. By using protein that comes from Happy Cows (!) the shake has a good amino acid profile and is free from any growth hormones.
Because the product is produced by a network marketing company there is a lot of hype around and it can be difficult to find detailed nutritional information. However there are many testimonials out there claiming that Isagenix is very effective and has helped them achieve their target weight.
One aspect we really like is the inclusion of digestive enzymes to help the body utilize the nutrients contained in the shake, this is something missing from many shakes on the market. It also contains a good range of vitamins and especially minerals, which may not be present in the normal diet due to depleted soils.
The IsaLean Shake is usually used as part of the Isagenix Cleansing program, rather than as a standalone product.

We liked the taste of the Vanilla Shake, but it is very sweet. There is 16 grams of sugar per serving, which in our opinion is too high. We also tried the chocolate version which didn’t blend as well as the Vanilla and had a strong Cocoa taste rather than Chocolaty taste.

If you can afford it (and are prepared to deal with the network marketing side of things) the IsaLean Shake is a good meal replacement shake. It contains a decent amount of protein, uses high quality ingredients and contains no artificial ingredients.
